The Technology Law Section had its Annual Meeting on June 23, 2015, at MailChimp’s new offices. We had have a brief business meeting, followed by a panel discussion about entrepreneurs working in technology fields.
Panelists:
- Jennifer Bonnett is a technology entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience in the Information Technology/Software Development field specializing in web and mobile technologies. She is currently the Assistant Director of Education / Community Outreach at ATDC and Chief Chick (CEO) of StartupChicks. ATDC is the oldest and largest research university affiliated incubators in the United States. Headquartered in Atlanta’s Technology Square adjacent to Georgia Tech’s campus, ATDC serves as the hub for technology entrepreneurship in Georgia. StartupChicks is a 501c3 focused on empowering women entrepreneurs through education, community, coaching, connections and investment.
- Wayt King is an attorney with Fisher Broyles. Wayt has broad experience as a founder, investor, and general counsel with software and web services companies and as a strategy and legal advisor to private technology companies generally. He was one of the founders of (and largest individual stockholder in) on-demand TV software company N2 Broadband in 2000 and played major roles in raising $27M in seed and venture capital financing, building the business from inception to $23M/year in sales and 200 employees, and selling the business for $120M in 2005.
- Elisabeth Koehnemann is an attorney with Miller and Martin. She counsels clients in matters involving trademark, copyright, patent, trade secrets, unfair competition, licensing, advertising and internal investigations.
